The user declares that he accepts and acts in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of use described herein, as well as with all its future modifications, due to the fact that he uses the service available on this website.

In the terms and conditions mentioned here, whenever the terms “we” or “our” are used, we refer to the service provided on this website. Whenever we use “you” or “your”, we mean anyone who uses the services and the website.

Access and use of this website are subject to the following Terms and Conditions. By browsing this website and purchasing through it, the user agrees to act in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. In case of not agreeing with its content, the user must stop accessing and/or using this website immediately.

If you violate any of the terms included herein, your right to access and use this website will be terminated immediately and, if applicable, we will proceed to legal action.

We reserve the right to make changes to the Terms and Conditions from time to time without providing prior notice. The amended Terms and Conditions are effective from the date they are published on this website.

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time, so you should check them whenever you visit this website. Continued access and use of the website represents your acceptance of the amended Terms and Conditions.

anaviegas-md.com reserves the right to use the personal data you enter on this website to contact you directly and send relevant communication within the scope of the services provided, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Services

We offer an online service of General and Family Medicine Consultation, Geriatrics Consultation, Medication Reconciliation Consultation and Consultancy on the Portuguese Health System. In consultations, a personalized assessment of your clinical history and other relevant data is carried out, including medical advice and the prescription of complementary diagnostic tests and medication when necessary.

We provide information on our website, on our social networks, Instagram and Facebook and through our newsletter, we provide personalized support through consultations with prior appointment, we carry out workshops and training and we have available eBooks (Guide).

Bear in mind that the information contained on this website is not personalized information, so it is your sole responsibility to verify the suitability of the information for your specific case. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from the application of the information provided.

 

Access

We intend to provide you with uninterrupted access to this website and the purchased guide. However, technical difficulties or other extraordinary situations may prevent us from being able to guarantee uninterrupted availability. We retain the right to suspend, limit or terminate your access to this website at any time, as well as to change the form of access and even the format of consultations, guides, or other products or services that you have purchased, making them available through other platforms or even in the form of a file, to guarantee access for the agreed time on the date of purchase.

We reserve the right to display, correct, delete, edit, withdraw or modify any data, content, materials or information displayed on this website or on any product associated with the brand at any time.

Online Consultations

Online Consultation Service, conducted by Ana Viegas, Medical Specialist in General and Family Medicine, and with competence in Geriatrics by the Portuguese Medical Association.

General and Family Medicine, Geriatrics and Medication Reconciliation Consultations consist of consultations made by video call, with the access link sent by email. Alternatively, the consultation can also be carried out over the phone.

The scheduled consultations have an estimated duration of 30-40 minutes.

During the consultation, all relevant health information will be provided, as well as clarifications regarding the therapeutic plan. The prescription will be sent afterwards to the email address provided.

Medicines prescribed within the scope of the consultation are covered by the National Health Service (if you have a valid SNS number). On the other hand, complementary exams are prescribed via the private sector and, as such, are not covered by the National Health Service. They may be reimbursed through a health insurance policy, if applicable, or requested subsequently by the attending physician of the National Health Service, if he/she agrees with their prescription.

It is not possible to issue sick leave certificates for the Social Security or ADSE. These can only be obtained through the National Health Service. However, if applicable, a medical certificate can be issued justifying the work absence. In case of a sick child this certificate can be used to obtain the Family Care Subsidy on the Social Security Direct website.
 

Payment

Payment for the consultation must be made through our website.

We do not have direct agreements with insurers, but an invoice-receipt of the consultation will be issued that can be used for reimbursement purposes (confirm conditions with the insurance provider).
 

Cancellation of the doctor

In case the doctor is unable to attend the scheduled session, she must notify the user at least 48 hours in advance to schedule a new date. If it is not possible to notify more than 48 hours in advance, the user has the right to choose whether he wants to refund the amount paid for that consultation or reschedule the session.

Cancellation or non-attendance of the user

There is a tolerance time of 15 minutes for delays. Delays beyond that will be considered as consultations carried out and will not be eligible for reimbursement.

If there is any unforeseen circumstance and it is not possible to attend the consultation, an email notification should be sent to anaviegas.md@gmail.com up to 48 hours before the scheduled time, with the possibility of rescheduling or refunding the amount. Non-attendance without prior notice or notices made less than 48 hours before the consultation will be considered as consultations carried out and will not be eligible for reimbursement, except for reasons of force majeure, duly justified.

Refund Policy

Consultations are services that start immediately after your purchase, either with administrative actions or work with the user. As such, when purchasing this service, the user confirms that he is waiving his right to free termination of the contract concluded.

Reschedules

In individual consultations, after scheduling, the user can reschedule the consultations at least 48 hours (2 days) in advance.

Consultancy on the Portuguese Health System

Online Consultation Service, conducted by Ana Viegas, Medical Specialist in General and Family Medicine, and with competence in Geriatrics by the Portuguese Medical Association.

Consultations on the Portuguese Health System consist of consultations consist of consultations made by video call, with the access link sent by email.

During the consultation, all relevant health information will be provided, as well as clarifications regarding the health resources available in the area of ​​residence. Consultations can be done individually or in a group.

Afterward there will be provided further information about what was discussed in the consultation via email. 

Payment

Payment for the consultation must be made through our website.

Digital Products

Guide to Healthcare in Portugal (eBooks)

The eBook is a product available digitally and usually immediately after purchase.

Access

Access to purchased digital products is, in principle, immediate. Unless it is a pre-registration or pre-booking for something that will only be released at a later date, specified at the time of purchase.

The duration of access to the product will be stipulated at the time of purchase. In the case of products with unlimited access, the contents may (to guarantee access without a time limit) be transferred to another format or platform, for reasons of closing the business or abandoning the initial platform where the product was created.

Refund Policy

The law reserves the right to regret for the customer, allowing a refund within 14 days after purchase.

The customer understands and accepts that the product's sales page will provide all the information so that he can consciously decide on his purchase and that, as these are downloadable or immediate access products, downloading or accessing any class implies the loss of right to free termination of the contract, framed in art. 17º nº1, l), i) and ii) of DL nº 24/2014, of February 14th.

There is no room for exchanges of the product purchased for another product. Whether or not there was access to the product.

If there is a return, the return will be made by the same payment method in which the purchase was made, within 14 days.

Paid Events

(workshops, webinars, classes or other type of event)

Occasionally, we hold other types of events, webinars, workshops and other similar ones, online or in person. These are group sessions with a specific date, time and place.

We reserve the right to change dates, times, locations or even cancel workshops or events in accordance with a minimum number of interested parties or some other cause of force majeure. In this case, all registrants will be notified in advance, up to 24 hours before the start of the workshop or event, to the email of their registration.

Cancellation or postponement by the organization

In case of cancellation of an event by the organization, the amount paid by the registered customer will be refunded in full.

In case of postponement of an event due to lack of minimum number of registrants or other non-attributable causes, the event will be rescheduled without refund and the customer will have a guaranteed seat in this new edition.

Impossibility of customer attendance

The cancellation of the session leads to the loss of the same without the right to reimbursement, unless notice of the impossibility of attending with more than 48 hours (2 days).

In the event that a customer is unable to attend an event for which he is registered but which has been postponed to another date, the customer may request a refund of the amount paid, provided that this refund is required up to 72 hours after the communication of the new date.

This requirement must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the new date of the event (that is, in the case of an event that was postponed to any of the three days following the original date, the time for requesting a refund will be longer shorter than 72h).

In the case of an event with free entry, or entry included with the purchase of another product, the customer's inability to attend does not give rise to any refund or compensation.

Refunds or refunds after the event has taken place

After the event, there will be no refunds, even if the customer has not attended.

Other situations

Cancellations and postponements of events for other reasons that were not informed here will be at our discretion, and in these cases there is a full refund of the amount paid for the event to the customer who does not intend to attend on another date, applying the deadlines mentioned above. Other amounts spent by the customer will not be refundable, such as amounts spent on accommodation, hotel, tickets of any kind, travel or others inherent to the presence at the event but not related to the event itself.

Payment

Payment for consultations or other services must be made at the time of booking, in order to validate the appointment. In the case of workshops, events, training or any type of service or product with limited places or quantities, the mere purchase WITHOUT payment does not guarantee the reservation of the place or product. Which means that seats or products will be allocated to users who first make a purchase with valid payment.

Invoices

The invoice with taxpayer number must be requested by the customer, within 5 days after the purchase, sending an email with his data (name + number) to the email [anaviegas.md@gmail.com](mailto:anaviegas.md@ gmail.com). After this period, we reserve the right to bill the end customer as we do not have individual billing data. The invoice-receipt will be sent at the end of the month/beginning of the following month.

Questions about product or service

Our products and services have specific characteristics and may require access to an app, tool or other external programs or materials – always free of charge – in order to function properly. If applicable, this information will be available on the sales page of the product or service to which it refers. Make sure you have access to everything you need to enjoy your purchase.

Before making the purchase

In the event of any doubt related to the operation, price, content, method or any other matter involving our products or services, you can always clarify by sending your question to the email anaviegas.md@gmail.com.

Do this BEFORE MAKING THE PURCHASE as there will be no room for any exchange or refund due to failure to read the sales pages, inattention, customer inability to use the tools, apps or materials required to enjoy your purchase or any reason attributable to the client.

Follow-up or answers to questions

All contacts must be made exclusively by email and respecting the usual working hours.

Questions will not be answered by other means (instagram, whatsapp) or outside rest periods (including weekends, holidays or vacations).

Additional prescriptions

Prescriptions issued during consultation are valid for 30 days from the date of consultation. The re-issuance or issuance of new prescriptions (eg: expired, out of stock in the pharmacy, request for more packaging and/or change of medication agreed upon in the consultation at the customer's option) is charged at 5 euros per prescription.

Operating Hours

For the purpose of responding to emails, messages on the platform, messages in Facebook groups, messages on social networks and telephone service, our brand works on business days from Monday to Friday, from 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm (Mainland Portugal time).

Permitted Use

Accessing and using this website is only permitted for personal and non-commercial purposes, which means that this website must only be accessed and used directly by private individuals. Access to and use of this website outside the context of personal, non-commercial functions is strictly prohibited.

In order to deal with any complaints, our working days are established on weekdays from 17:00h to 22:30h and Saturdays from 13:30h to 17:30h, except holidays.
